Comedy Legend Jim Carrey Says Goodbye to…

Fans were surprised by Jim Carrey’s recent announcement about possibly retiring from acting. Known for his iconic roles in The Mask, Ace Ventura, and The Truman Show, Carrey hinted that he’s ready to step away from Hollywood. While discussing his role in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, he shared his thoughts, saying, “I suffice,” and adding, “I have everything I need to get today done.” This reflects his sense of fulfillment after decades of success.

The conversation shifted to Dolly Parton, who once suggested Carrey play her late musical partner, Porter Wagoner, in a film. While he appreciated the idea, Carrey reiterated his retirement plans, joking that only a script “written in gold ink by angels” could tempt him back.

Carrey explained that he’s seeking a slower, less stressful life outside Hollywood, finding joy in drawing and creative hobbies. He also expressed unease about Netflix’s coverage of Bob Saget’s funeral, calling it “a little strange.” Though he loved Saget, he felt turning such personal moments into public entertainment was uncomfortable.
