A dancer at the Super Bowl was banned for life from NFL events after unfurling a Sudanese-Palestinian flag during Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show. Zul-Qarnain Nantambu, part of the 400-member field cast, hid the flag and revealed it atop a prop car before running across the field. Security swiftly removed him. The NFL stated no one in production knew of his intent. Nantambu later told NBC he aimed to raise awareness for Gaza and Sudan, saying, “Maybe we don’t have the military prowess to stop the war, but we can at least help those afflicted by these atrocities.”
