When Mia’s stepmom, Trudy, celebrated her 45th birthday, she threw an over-the-top party and demanded Mia gift her a dishwasher. However, Mia, saving for her prom dress, couldn’t afford it and spent the day helping with party prep, filling drinks, and cleaning up, all while avoiding Trudy’s endless demands.

After the festivities, Trudy publicly embarrassed Mia by calling her out for not getting a gift and ordered her to wash all the dishes. Mia, holding back her frustration, complied and spent hours scrubbing while everyone else enjoyed the party.

The next morning, karma struck. Trudy’s kitchen was flooded after she dumped meat oils down the sink, clogging the pipes and causing a huge mess. The repairs were so expensive that Mia’s dad, David, announced they’d have to cut back on expenses—except for Mia’s prom dress, setting aside $500 for it, much to Trudy’s dismay.
