Dr. Daniel Kenigsberg returned to his property in Connecticut to find a house being built on the land he purchased in 1991. The land, adjacent to his childhood home, held sentimental value for Kenigsberg. He intended to pass it on to his children, but his plans were thwarted when he discovered a 4-bedroom house almost completed on the site.

Records indicate that the land was sold to 51 Sky Top Partners LLC for $350,000 in 2022, a sale Kenigsberg claims to know nothing about. He is suing the company on charges including trespass and statutory theft, seeking to nullify the land sale and demanding $2 million in damages.

Kenigsberg also insists that the company removes all structures and restores the land’s original condition. Fairfield Police are investigating the matter. The lawsuit suggests a fraudulent power-of-attorney and impersonation led to the unauthorized sale.

The defendants claim they were also victims of a scam and unknowingly purchased the land from a fraudulent third party.
