Harrison Ford’s plane crash at a Los Angeles golf course led to dramatic scenes as he was carried away on a stretcher with a bloodied face and a neck brace. The 72-year-old actor intentionally steered his vintage plane into the ground after an engine failure, breaking his pelvis.
His wife, Calista Flockhart, maintained a bedside vigil, visibly tired and emotionally drained.
Ford’s doctor described him as moaning and in pain when he landed, recognizing him as the famous actor.
Dr. Sanjay Khurana, who was golfing nearby, rushed to the scene.
He noted fuel leaking from the plane and helped rescue Ford along with other golfers. Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are examining the wreckage and plane records, with the final report expected to take up to a year.
Despite multiple head injuries, Ford’s injuries were not life-threatening. His son, Ben, confirmed he was “battered, but OK.”
