The Young and Restless star dead at 66 years of age

Daytime television is in mourning following the death of renowned actress Andrea Evans at 66. She succumbed to cancer, as confirmed by her former manager, Don Carroll. Nick Leicht, her current manager, said, “I’ve spent the last seven years working with Andrea. She was an incredible joy to work with and such a fantastic talent.” Evans was best known for her roles as Patty Williams on The Young and the Restless and Tina Lord on One Life to Live. She earned a Daytime Emmy nomination in 1988 for her portrayal of Tina.

Frank Valentini, executive producer of One Life to Live, paid tribute, tweeting, “I am so sorry to hear of Andrea Evans’ passing… A true midday legend that will be sorely missed.”

Evans took a hiatus from One Life to Live in the 1990s due to a traumatic experience with a stalker. She returned to the role of Tina in 2008, with fans eagerly awaiting her comeback.

She leaves behind her daughter Kylie and husband Stephen Rodriguez.
