At least 36 dead after an overcrowded bus falls into a gorge

At least 36 people died when an overcrowded, poorly maintained bus plunged into a 200-foot gorge in Uttarakhand. The bus, carrying around 60 passengers, skidded off the road, killing 36 and injuring more than 20, several critically. Rescue teams evacuated survivors, and authorities opened an investigation. Two officials were suspended for approving the bus despite its poor condition. Road accidents remain a significant concern due to reckless driving and aging vehicles.
