Bruce Springsteen, known as “The Boss,” has postponed his September 2023 tour due to health issues. The 73-year-old musician is undergoing treatment for peptic ulcer disease, which he called “heartbreaking.” In an official statement, Springsteen and The E Street Band regretfully postponed all September shows, citing medical advice.
Springsteen expressed his disappointment, saying, “First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some.”
Ticket holders will receive information about rescheduled dates, but the timing remains uncertain.
Peptic ulcer disease involves sores in the stomach or small intestine, often caused by bacterial infection or frequent pain reliever use, requiring various treatments.
This isn’t the first time health issues forced Springsteen to reschedule; two Philadelphia concerts were postponed earlier. Despite his legendary career spanning six decades, Springsteen remains committed to music, stating in 2022 that he “can’t imagine retirement.”
