Chiarello was known for his Italian-influenced California cuisine showcased on TV. He won an Emmy for “Easy Entertaining with Michael Chiarello” on the Food Network and appeared on other cooking shows. He also served as an executive chef at various restaurants.

His restaurant group, Gruppo Chiarello, praised his passion for food and life and encouraged celebrating his legacy by sharing meals with loved ones. They highlighted his restaurants, which will continue in his honor.
