| Denise Alexander, a former cast member of “General Hospital,” pays tribute to her late co-star Jacklyn Zeman.

Jacklyn Zeman, beloved as Nurse Bobbie Spencer on “General Hospital,” passed away on May 9 at age 70 after a brief battle with cancer. Denise Alexander, who joined the show in 1973, mourned the loss of her close friend.

In a heartfelt letter shared by Soap Hub, Alexander wrote, “Oh girl, I can’t stop crying because I keep hearing your voice and laughing. I have always loved and cherished your sweetness, humor, brilliance, and lovely goodness.”

Anthony Geary praised Zeman’s rare quality of never speaking ill of anyone, and executive producer Frank Valentini described her as “a bright light and true professional.” Laura Wright, who played Zeman’s daughter on the show, remembered her as having “the best stories, a contagious spirit, and a remarkable life.”
