Elton John thanks his fans for ’52 years of pure joy’ as he concludes his touring career.

After 52 years on the road, Elton John, 76, has officially retired from touring, concluding his iconic career with a final performance at Stockholm’s Tele2 Arena during his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour. The legendary artist expressed gratitude to fans, saying, “I’ve had the most incredible career. How fortunate am I to play music for 52 years?” He thanked fans for their unwavering support, emphasizing their role in his success.

Coldplay’s Chris Martin also shared a heartfelt message during a nearby concert, saying, “Elton, we love you tremendously. Happy retirement.”

Though Elton has retired from touring, his manager, David Furnish, hinted at the possibility of future performances, such as a special one-time event or a short residency.
