Her co-hosts, understanding her priorities, bid her farewell with best wishes. After a few hours, Hoda returned to her anchor desk, joined by Jenna Bush Hager for the show’s third hour.

Though she skipped the typical “back to school” photo, Hoda shared a Dr. Seuss quote on her personal Instagram: “You’re off to great places today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!”
