JOE BIDEN APPEARS TO BE A ‘SUPERAGER,’ DOCTORS SAY

Amid debates about President Joe Biden’s age and mental fitness for his reelection bid, an opinion piece in The Hill posits that Biden might be a “superager,” according to medical experts’ assessments. Critics have raised concerns about Biden’s capacity due to his age, while supporters argue that he remains mentally and physically robust.

Medical experts S. Jay Olshansky and Dr. Bradley Willcox, alongside former Texas Lieutenant Governor Ben Barnes, argue that age alone might not be the key factor. They propose that Biden could fall into the “superager” category, characterized by retaining cognitive and physical abilities akin to those much younger.

The experts stress that there is no clinical evidence of cognitive decline in President Biden, highlighting that cognitive tests are typically administered when deemed necessary by physicians. Biden’s personal physician did not find it medically warranted, suggesting, given his family history, that such issues are improbable.
