Kirk Cameron has left California, joining the wave of celebrities fleeing the state. The Growing Pains actor announced his decision due to California’s increasing division and lack of safety. Cameron, a father of six, moved to Tennessee where three of his grown children reside, seeking a place with a “healthy freedom mindset.”

“If everything hits the fan and there’s serious economic problems and division, they want to be around people who are all about God, family, and country,” he said. Cameron noted the surprising number of California refugees in Tennessee and urged them, “Don’t California our Tennessee.” Like his sister, Candace Cameron Bure, he left California for safety, security, and Tennessee’s wholesome values and good whiskey.
