Gina Anderson, a neurologist, sought cosmetic fillers to enhance her appearance as she approached her 40s. However, a colleague injected her with silicone instead of the expected fillers.
Over the years, this illegal silicone injection caused severe deformity and granuloma formation in her cheek and eye, leading to constant pain and discomfort. Despite undergoing five corrective surgeries, the problem persisted, leaving Gina with a gaping hole in her cheek, forcing her to close her practice.
Desperate for help, Gina turned to Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif on the reality TV show “Botched.” They performed two additional procedures, removing the silicone and adding fat from her abdomen to restore volume.
Although she initially felt relief, complications arose, requiring further surgery to address recurrent seromas. Finally, after the second procedure on “Botched,” Gina’s face returned to normal, and she experienced a significant improvement in her overall well-being.
