The beloved star has died, leaving the world in shock

Beloved Leeds Rhinos and England rugby star Rob Burrow passed away on June 2 at age 41 after a brave battle with motor neurone disease (MND). Hundreds lined the streets in tribute, with fans wearing Leeds Rhinos shirts turning the roads blue.

A civil reception at Leeds Civic Hall honored his life, attended by family, teammates, and city leaders. Burrow’s funeral cortege paused at Featherstone Lions’ ground, where he began his rugby journey.

In a heartfelt farewell, Burrow urged, “Don’t waste a moment of life.” His wife, Lindsey, called him a man who “made the world a better place.”
