Cyrus and Firerose, whose real name is Johanna Rose Hodges, began dating in 2022 after years of friendship and collaboration during the COVID-19 pandemic. They married in October 2023 and shared their joy on social media, stating, “10/10/23 will always be the beautiful, joyous day that our two souls united as one in holy matrimony.”

The couple released several songs together, including “New Day,” “Time,” “Plans,” and “After the Storm.” Firerose described “After the Storm” as a song that helped her survive her darkest nights, aiming to inspire others.
