When my neighbors Gary and Brenda dumped their rotting Halloween decorations on my lawn, they expected me to clean up their mess. But instead, I decided to teach them a lesson they’d never forget.
Halloween had always been my favorite holiday. I decorated my yard with webs, ghosts, spiders, and even built a haunted maze. While most neighbors enjoyed it, Gary and Brenda always complained. This year, they went too far, throwing their smelly, decayed Halloween trash onto my lawn.
I confronted Gary, who smugly claimed he was “doing me a favor.” Furious, I plotted my revenge. Late one night, I returned all their decorations—along with some added creepy touches. I even left a note: “Happy belated Halloween.”
A few days later, Brenda called, hysterical. The HOA had fined them heavily due to the mess, even threatening eviction. They’d ignored months of complaints about their overgrown yard, and my “return” of their junk was the final straw. Watching them pack up and leave, I felt justice had been served. Next Halloween? I’ll decorate bigger than ever.
