College student has fatal reaction to brownie she got from friend

Hannah Glass, a 19-year-old college freshman from Wisconsin, tragically lost her life due to a severe allergic reaction after unknowingly eating a brownie containing roasted peanut flour. Known for her bright spirit, Hannah had celebrated her birthday just two days earlier.

On November 5, after taking a second bite of the brownie, she experienced violent symptoms, including vomiting and hives. Despite taking Benadryl, her condition worsened, leading to an anaphylactic reaction. Her parents, living 45 minutes away, rushed to her dorm but arrived too late.

Hannah collapsed before her EpiPen could be administered, suffering critical brain damage after her heart stopped for four minutes. Her death highlights the grave dangers of severe food allergies.
