Bruising, or ecchymosis, occurs when small blood vessels under the skin break, causing blood to pool beneath the surface.
BE CAREFUL, if you get these bruises on your body, here’s what it means
While bruises are typically the result of minor injuries, some health conditions can make people more prone to bruising. Vitamin deficiencies, such as a lack of Vitamin C or Vitamin K, can weaken blood vessels, making bruising more common. Other factors, including medications, aging, sun exposure, and certain medical conditions like diabetes or blood disorders, can also contribute to easy bruising.
To treat bruises, the RICE method (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) is recommended. Preventing falls and managing supplements may reduce bruising. If bruising is frequent or severe, it’s important to consult a doctor to rule out underlying health issues.
