President Trump Declares National Emergency Over Electricity

President Trump declared a national emergency over electricity after escalating the US-Canada trade war. Sworn in for a second term as the 47th president, he swiftly imposed heavy tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China.

The 78-year-old suggested Canada could avoid tariffs by becoming the “cherished 51st state,” prompting Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to impose counter-tariffs.
