A man bought an old farmhouse to tear down, began to dismantle the barn and found one of the most expensive things in the world

Mark Benton purchased an old farm for demolition but was drawn to a barn on the outskirts. Inside, he discovered a rare 1959 Jaguar Mark 2 sedan, one of the fastest cars of its time, featuring an engine from the Jaguar XK sports car.

Most of these sedans remained in England, making its presence on an abandoned Iowa farm remarkable. Despite decades in a wooden shed, the car is exceptionally well-preserved.

Documents in the glove compartment reveal it was last registered in 1983. The vehicle will be auctioned, with expectations of fetching several hundred thousand dollars.
