Bus driver didn’t think photo holding crying kid’s hand was a “big deal” – local police thought differently

Axel, a young boy nervous about his first school day, struggled with the idea of being apart from his mom, Amy Johnson. Despite her reassurances, Axel’s worry showed as the school bus approached. When driver Isabel Lane arrived, she noticed his apprehension. After Amy seated Axel, he began reaching for her as she walked away. Isabel then did something extraordinary: she reached back and held Axel’s hand, offering comfort. This small act helped calm him, allowing Amy to capture a photo she later shared online, where it gained widespread praise. By the next day, Axel’s confidence soared—he waited for the bus alone and greeted Isabel warmly. Isabel’s kind gesture made a big difference for both Axel and his mom.
