In the 1980s, Jody Plauché was harmed and abducted by his karate instructor, Jeffrey Doucet. After police rescued Jody, Doucet was arrested and extradited to Louisiana, where Jody’s father, Gary Plauché, shot him on live TV at Baton Rouge Airport. Doucet later died. Gary took a plea deal and avoided jail. Years later, he stood by his actions. Jody, now an activist, raises awareness about child exploitation, inspired by a survivor who spoke out after hearing his story.
