Justine Bateman, best known for Family Ties, is speaking out against Hollywood’s pressure to stay young. At 57, she refuses cosmetic procedures, embracing natural aging despite criticism.
In a 60 Minutes Australia interview, Bateman stated, “I think I look rad. My face represents who I am.” She recalled being shamed for her looks at 40 but ultimately rejected the fear of aging.
She argues that plastic surgery doesn’t erase insecurity: “That fear will continue… I think getting all this plastic surgery is just people pleasing.”
Bateman hopes women focus on life’s true joys rather than chasing youth. “I feel sad that they’re distracted from the things they’re meant to do.”
