Key witness in OJ Simpson trial gives theory of what happened to murder weapon as he details what he saw

A key witness in the O.J. Simpson trial has shared a theory on the fate of the murder weapon. Simpson, once a celebrated NFL player, saw his reputation shift in 1994 when he became a suspect in the murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman. Despite allegations of abuse during their marriage, Simpson was acquitted after an 11-month trial from November 1994 to October 1995. The case remains unsolved.

A new Netflix documentary, American Manhunt: O.J. Simpson, revisits the case. One lingering mystery is the missing murder weapon, a knife never found or presented as evidence. Witness Skip Junis, featured in the documentary, recalled seeing Simpson at the airport with multiple Louis Vuitton bags and a “cheaper” bag he kept hidden. Junis claimed Simpson pulled out “something long” from the bag and discarded it in a trash can before boarding his flight. The documentary also revisits Simpson’s infamous white Ford Bronco chase before he surrendered to police.
