Matthew McConaughey recently shared a surprising story about his father’s death. Speaking on the podcast “WTF with Marc Maron,” he revealed that his father suffered a fatal heart attack while having sex. McConaughey’s mother, in her nightie, refused to let paramedics cover her husband’s body, saying, “I want the world to see why his nickname was Big Jim.”

He also wrote about this incident in his 2020 memoir, “Greenlights,” where he recalled his mother informing him of his father’s sudden passing. McConaughey said his father had always told him and his brothers that he would pass away while making love to their mother, and that’s exactly what happened.
