Ellingson gained fame for his role as Jesse in the 2009 cancer drama “My Sister’s Keeper,” alongside Cameron Diaz and Alec Baldwin. He also portrayed the son of David Caruso’s character on “CSI: Miami” and appeared as Jack Bauer’s nephew on “24.” According to TMZ, Ellingson had struggled with drug issues and was living in a sober home at the time of his death.

Growing up in La Verne, California, Ellingson was discovered at a skate park, leading to a series of roles that showcased his charisma and talent.
