Woman saves abandoned chick from smashed egg – 1 yr later, her transformation shocks everyone

In 2014, Susan Hickman discovered a cracked eggshell while out walking. Against the odds, she found a newborn chick inside, featherless and with closed eyes. Determined to save him, Susan took on the challenging task of caring for the fragile bird.

For the first two weeks, Susan dedicated herself to feeding the chick every 20-30 minutes from sunrise to sunset, using a small medicine dropper. Despite the exhausting process, Susan developed a strong bond with the bird she named Klinger.

Klinger, a resilient fighter, survived and underwent a remarkable transformation, growing from a helpless chick into a majestic bird. Throughout his recovery, Klinger became an integral part of Susan’s family, reciprocating the love and care he received.

Recognizing that Klinger was now domesticated and unprepared for life in the wild, Susan faced a dilemma. Despite her initial intention to release him, Susan decided that Klinger belonged with her, ensuring his well-being.
